Why is preventative engine service important?
In order for the combustion and power necessary to move a heavy vehicle to be initiated by the spark plug, clean gas and air needs to be driven to the vehicle’s cylinders. Clogged fuel injectors, dirty air, soiled fuel filters, and corroded spark plugs all contribute to decreased engine performance and poor gas mileage. It is important to have your vehicle’s air filter inspected regularly, and to follow the manufacturers’ recommendations for replacing components as fuel filters, PCV valves, and spark plugs when they are no longer working at maximum efficiency.
